Calibration
Our onsite NVLAP-Accredited Metrology Laboratory (Lab Code 200502-0) provides comparison temperature
calibrations from -196 °C to 1450 °C [-321 °F to 2642 °F] on the International Temperature Scale of 1990
(ITS-90) for temperature sensors and instruments.
Pyromation’s laboratory managerial and technical team have documented education, training, technical
knowledge and experience to precisely perform their assigned functions. The laboratory’s test environment
is constantly monitored and controlled to maintain all required conditions, while access is strictly
defined and controlled.
Our Laboratory equipment includes fluidized baths and tube furnaces, standard platinum resistance
thermometers, and type “B” and “S” thermocouples. All standards and calibrations are traceable to the International System of Units (SI) through NIST or other National Metrology Institutes and are part of a comprehensive measurement assurance program for ensuring continued accuracy and measurement traceability within the level of uncertainty reported.
Note: Our quality system meets or exceeds the requirements for NIST Handbook 150, NIST Handbook 150-2, ISO/IEC 17025, and ISO 9001.
