Human Resource Specialist

The role of the Human Resource Specialist is to support the Human Resource/Safety Director and the Human Resource Generalist in the administration and maintenance of personnel systems and benefit and policy administration within the company. The function of the Human Resource Specialist is to help ensure customer satisfaction, continuous improvement, and support the company’s goals. The Human Resource Specialist will interact with all company Value Streams. This position reports directly to the Human Resource/Safety Director and serves as a liaison to other areas of the company.

The Human Resource Specialist will perform the following functions and have the following responsibilities:

  • Administer the timesheet entering, attendance tracking program and other programs
  • Administer filing/scanning of personnel documents and maintain confidentiality
  • Assist in job postings, advertisement, job bids, reference checking and processing
  • Backup for team member hiring and interviews
  • Determine monthly headcount
  • Help ensure team members understand applicable policies and procedures
  • Assist in answering FMLA, ADA, worker’s compensation, and unemployment questions
  • Assist in open enrollment meetings and benefit elections for team members
  • Support safety training as required and help assure Pyromation safety programs are being followed
  • Help assure consistent administration of company policies
  • Support and mentor other team members, as they come to HR for guidance
  • Assist in creating an atmosphere of trust and engagement

Cultural Development

  • Monitor and participate in cultural activities
  • Assist with team member recognition programs and provide necessary information
  • Enter and process changes and data into the Paycom system
  • Gain knowledge of federal, state and local laws to help assure company compliance
  • Provide back-up for tracking evaluation system and administer document retention
  • Assist in investigations when needed
  • Help assure compliance of ADA requirements
  • Help with responses to verification of employment requests
  • Provide help with unemployment claims and hearings
  • Assist with benefit administration of Pyromation insurance lines
  • Help assure compliance of health, safety, and environmental programs
  • Assist in decision for necessary safety items, personal protective equipment, etc.
  • Create decline letters as needed for candidates not selected for employment
  • Adhere to established standard work for the Human Resource Specialist
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Education and Skill Requirements

The Human Resource Specialist shall possess:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. required, Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree desired
  • 2+ years Human Resource and/or business experience

Pyromation offers an excellent compensation and benefit package. Pay range is $1,346.15 to $1,730.77 bi-weekly.



1st Shift Value Stream Operator - Light Assembly
Pyromation, Inc. is an innovative temperature sensor manufacturer that is utilizing Lean Manufacturing initiatives and we are growing. Currently we are seeking Value Stream Operators. The Value Stream Operator assembles parts and raw materials to form complete units or sub assemblies at their assigned workstation(s), while following standard work and supporting lean initiatives.

The Value Stream Operator will perform the following functions and have the following responsibilities:

  • Utilize hand tools, light power tools and other special equipment to perform assigned assembly operations.
  • Monitors the quality of all items produced in the area.
  • Performs basic cleaning and preventive maintenance checks of equipment as required or assigned.
  • Maintains a clean, safe and organized work area.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and Skill Requirements:

  • High School education or the equivalence of a G.E.D.
  • Manufacturing assembly experience desired. Lean manufacturing experience a plus.

The successful new team member is to have the skills and ability to be action oriented with effective problem solving skills, possess good communication/interpersonal skills and have the ability to work in a team environment. The Value Stream Operator will participate in Lean continuous improvement activities; and possess the willingness to continually learn and develop job related skills, while assisting others to do the same. The pay range for this position is $12.00 to $16.00 per hour.


2nd Shift Value Stream Operator - Light Assembly
