Material Management Coordinator
The function of the Material Management Coordinator is to assist in the development of the lean supply chain company wide. The Material Management Coordinator helps coordinate uninterrupted delivery of raw materials, parts and supplies to support manufacturing through kanban setup and maintenance. This position reports to the Supply Chain Manager.

Summary of Job Duties:

  • Internal and external kanban setup and maintenance.
  • Support in the development of the lean supply chain.
  • Assist in management of lean enterprise cost reduction, lead time reduction, and stocking level strategies.
  • Assist in procuring material for resale and production, including:
    • Facilitate the purchase order process.
    • Assist in supplier selection, arrangements, and supplier feedback.
    • Assist in developing and maintaining supplier relationships.
  • Communicate with all departments to help ensure and uninterrupted product availability stream, including.
  • Develop and implement material strategies for cost reduction, lead time reduction, and stocking levels.
  • Support and maintain a system providing valuable practical and theoretical material information to sales, engineering, and production on supplied materials including:
    • Readily accessible contract list of supplier technical and customer service contacts.
    • Assure inventory items are entered correctly.
    • Assure proper SDS and PPE support.
  • Assist with information for sales and engineering to determine standard cost of products.
  • Support in the development and maintenance of PID and product traceability initiatives.
  • Develop and implement improved inventory systems.
  • Assist in inventory accuracy improvement activities.
  • Be able to effectively source and negotiate low cost, high quality materials as required.
  • Oversee the annual physical inventory and preparations.
  • Other related duties as required

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Degree in Business, Marketing, Accounting, Engineering or related field & Supply Chain management experience desired.
  • Purchasing experience in similar raw materials as Pyromation utilizes.

This position is eligible for annual bonus. Pay commensurate with knowledge, experience, etc.



2nd Shift Manufacturing Trainer

The role of the Manufacturing Trainer is to facilitate training and development of Pyromation team members. The function of the Manufacturing Trainer is to help ensure customer satisfaction, continuous improvement, and support the company's training needs. This position reports to the Human Resource/Safety Director.

The 2nd shift Manufacturing Trainer will perform the following functions:

  • Responsible for training team members utilizing job instruction, lean tools, safety documents and quality information.
  • Provide support by training team members in catalog and application/theory training.
  • Perform documentation training.
  • Lead training in teambuilding, team dynamics, job instruction, safety, etc.
  • Work closely with members of management throughout the company.
  • Other duties as assigned.

knowledge & Skill:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including strong people skills and developmental background.
  • Possess computer skills.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalence, college degree or completed classes in a related field a plus.
  • 2+ years of manufacturing experience.
  • Training and developmental skills.

There is a .50 cent shift differential, plus opportunity for annual bonus. Compensation $15.00 to $21.00 per hour.



CNC Operator
Pyromation, Inc. is an innovative temperature sensor manufacturer that is utilizing Lean Manufacturing initiatives and we are growing. Currently we are seeking experienced CNC Operator. The CNC Operator function processes parts and raw materials on assigned machines to form complete parts or sub-assemblies for use by other shops or customers by setting up, operating and programming assigned machines.

Summary of Job Duties:

  • Assemble heads and operate machinery.
  • Program, set up and operate assigned machines, hand tools, light power tools and other special equipment to perform assigned machining operations; may receive direction in the form of verbal or written instructions and may refer to technical drawings, catalog information or work instructions to complete assigned work.
  • Make minor adjustments to machine setups and tooling.
  • Monitor the quality of all items produced in their area by accurately using measurement instruments to meet product requirements.
  • Monitor the status of tooling, machinery, benches, and hardware used in the area and notify the Manager of any problems.
  • Maintain an organized and clean work area free of potential hazards.
  • Perform basic cleaning and preventive maintenance checks of equipment.
  • Rotate to build blocks as needed.
  • Perform related job requirements and other duties as assigned. (See enclosed function description.

Minimum Education and Skill Requirements

  • Minimum one year experience programming and running CNC machinery in a manufacturing environment desired, but not required.

Compensation commensurate with experience. CNC Operator pay range is $15.00 to $20.00 per hour.



1st Shift Value Stream Operator - Light Assembly
Pyromation, Inc. is an innovative temperature sensor manufacturer that is utilizing Lean Manufacturing initiatives and we are growing. Currently we are seeking Value Stream Operators. The Value Stream Operator assembles parts and raw materials to form complete units or sub assemblies at their assigned workstation(s), while following standard work and supporting lean initiatives.

The Value Stream Operator will perform the following functions and have the following responsibilities:

  • Utilize hand tools, light power tools and other special equipment to perform assigned assembly operations.
  • Monitors the quality of all items produced in the area.
  • Performs basic cleaning and preventive maintenance checks of equipment as required or assigned.
  • Maintains a clean, safe and organized work area.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and Skill Requirements:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. desired, but not required.
  • Manufacturing assembly experience desired. Lean manufacturing experience a plus.

The successful new team member is to have the skills and ability to be action oriented with effective problem solving skills, possess good communication/interpersonal skills and have the ability to work in a team environment. The Value Stream Operator will participate in Lean continuous improvement activities; and possess the willingness to continually learn and develop job related skills, while assisting others to do the same. The pay range for this position is $13.00 to $17.00 per hour.
